2025 Timing – Daniel Prophecy?

Last updated on 11/13/2023

Daniel Chapter 9

25“Know therefore and understand,
That from the going forth of the command
To restore and build Jerusalem
Until Messiah the Prince,
There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks;
The street shall be built again, and the wall,
Even in troublesome times.

Daniel 9 NKJV

What if Daniels Prophecy was to be fulfilled again? All 490 years of it? Where do we see the start of the streets and walls being rebuilt in the most recent history after the Temple destruction? Note! The the command to rebuild Jerusalem only mentions the streets and walls, not a Temple!

Like I said in my blog post HERE, I believe the prophecy of Daniels 70 weeks have been fulfilled, but leave open the possibility for it to be fulfilled again! While scrolling through Facebook end times groups I happen upon a post discussing the order to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem back in 1535!

If we calculate from 1535 + 490 years = 2025

So naturally I start researching the history of this command to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem! We find that indeed in 1535 by Sultan Suleiman I, of the Ottoman Empire, commanded the walls to be rebuilt:

In 1535, when Jerusalem was part of the Ottoman EmpireSultan Suleiman I ordered the ruined city walls to be rebuilt. The work took some four years, between 1537 and 1541.

I believe this is another prophecy that is very close to being fulfilled, again.

Daniel Chapter 12

11 “And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

Daniel 12 NKJV

1290 days/years

We are looking for two things to happen with the verse above. The sacrifices to stop and a abomination of desolation to be setup. We also see a number of days 1290. However, this is meant be calculated using day to year prophecy, 1290 years.

The event that stopped sacrifices occurred when Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar took over Jerusalem as vassal kingdom starting around 601BC. It would be assumed that this take over would have been the end of sacrifices since Nebuchadnezzar had his religious practices and would not allow the Jews to continue theirs. Source 1 and Source 2

The event that would be considered as the abomination of desolation being setup would be the Dome of the Rock:

How out of place does that look to you?

The Dome of the Rock is thought to have been started construction around 689 AD according to Britannica:

An inscription in the Dome of the Rock establishes the date of construction as AH 72 according to the Islamic calendar (691–692 CE), generally considered to indicate the date the structure was completed.

Britannica

There are many estimates of when both events actually took place but only by differences of 1-3 years. Alternate Dome Date Source: Built atop the earlier location of the Temple, the Dome of the Rock was erected by the Muslim ruler Abd el-Malik in 688–691.

However, if we use the approximate start dates of both events we get very close to 1290 years, with out even knowing exact days/years:

1335 days/years

12 Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.

Daniel 12 NKJV

We see in the very next verse it says blessed is he who waits and comes to the 1335 days which is to be calculated as years.

Adding 1335 years to 689AD we get 2024!

Consider and test this information!
